Malcesine is one of the most
beautiful towns and one of the
												most fascinating monuments of
the lake. The small port, which
gathers the old town center, is
the town’s heartbeat. It is such
a colourful place that it almost
												seems unreal, just like a
painting. It is from here that
												the characteristic web of little
												cobbled streets originates,
along which you can find houses,
												hotels and shops; the bustling
												life of a quiet world.
In the antique town center, full
of shops and typical local bars
and cafes, you can visit almost
												intact antique monuments: the
												Castle and the Captain’s palace.
												Olive groves and cypresses cover
												the mountains surrounding
Malcesine all the way up to the
top where you can find almost
												eternal snow. The mountain top
												can be reached in fifteen
minutes on the modern cable car.
And it is on this mountain,
												Monte Baldo, also known as
												“Europe’s botanical garden” for
												its multiplicity of flora
												species, that there are
												officinal herbs known by
												herbalists worldwide.
Malcesine is one of the most
												renowned tourist resorts of lake
Garda, with over 100 hotels, 300
												apartments, lodgings and
												campsites.
Thanks to the Peler wind in the
morning and the Ora wind in the
												afternoon, the climate is always
												mild and windy.
The town area is of approx. 68
												sq.km. and extends from Navene
												to Cassone.
												Malcesine is a tourist and
												relaxation resort thanks to its
												beautiful town center and the
												“lungolago” promenade, but it is
												also the ideal holiday
												destination for those who wish
												to combine pleasant evenings
												strolls or visits to the
												numerous local bars with
												windsurfing, sailing, trekking
												or mountain biking. |
